The Alliance for the Golden Years stems fromthe Ravasi Garzanti Foundation’scommitment to building a new urban welfare system dedicated to longevity. It is a civic and generative pact that goes beyond a simple welfare program, transforming vulnerability and needs into opportunities for community, solidarity, and social innovation.

The operational and philanthropic heart of the Foundation

The Local Network

Since 2020, through the CuraMI & ProteggiMI initiatives, the Foundation has launched a community-based model focused on listening, guidance, and support for older adults and caregivers, building an initial local network in collaboration with organizations such as Eureka! Social Cooperative and the In Cerchio Association.

Over the years, this experience has evolved into a more structured and scalable system through the "Hub & Spoke" model, developed through collaboration with foundations and social welfare organizations and further strengthened by the contribution of the Accenture Foundation.

In 2025, CuraMI & ProteggiMI began a gradual evolution, positioning itself as one of the key nodes of the Alliance for the Golden Years, and today serves as the operational core of the model and ensuring its methodological consistency and scalability.

CuraMI & ProteggiMI is a network of free and accessible neighborhood service centers—resources for older adults and caregivers. Every journey begins with a free initial consultation, which is necessary to understand their needs and vulnerabilities, and results in a personalized plan that combines free services with affordable options.
